The Mami Chelo Foundation serves as a beacon of hope to immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers and migrants who are trapped within the complex network of the United States immigration system. We are committed to ending arbitrary and harmful detention practices in the United States. Inspired by the contributions made as a nation of immigrants, we work to help rebuild lives and contribute to the fabric of society in a sustainable manner.
A large part of our mission involves providing legal referrals and basic necessities to migrants, refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers.
